Star Gaze Hawaii offers guided tours of the sky at regularly scheduled stargazing sessions at various resorts on the west coast of the Big Island of Hawaii (Kohala Coast Resorts). Constellations are outlined with our powerful lasers accompanied by commentary and star lore. View selected deep space objects such as planets, galaxies, nebulae, interesting stars and star clusters, and multiple star systems with our Celestron 11 Telescopes. Our staff has extensive knowledge and stand ready to answer any questions about astronomy in general. The perfect activity for amateur astronomers.
Sessions last one hour, 8 to 9 PM (See list below for specific start times for each resort). Our adult (12 yrs and up) handout package contains a 15" starmap, selected object list with color pictures, astronomy postcards, astronomy fact booklet and a red LED light. Children packages (11 to 5 yrs) have a 15" starmap, coloring booklet, crayons, and activity sheet.
